OMEGA TRIBE is the collective name of a project led by composer Tetsushi Hayashi, producer Kenzo Shiguma, arranger Hiroshi Shinkawa and other members of the production team under the direction of producer Koichi Fujita, a pioneer of Japanese AOR which was active in the 1980s.
The first project, Kiyotaka Sugiyama & OMEGA TRIBE, made their debut in April 1983 with the single "SUMMER SUSPICION" from VAP. Other representative songs include "Kimi no Heart wa Marine Blue" in January 1984 and "Futari no Natsu Monogatari -NEVER ENDING SUMMER-" in March 1985. They finished their career with seven singles and five albums.
In preparation for the 40th anniversary of their debut in 2023, "Kiyotaka Sugiyama & OMEGA TRIBE 40th Anniversary Project" has started under the supervision of composer Tetsuji Hayashi to remix the original recordings using the latest technology.
Some of the songs have been newly recorded, and there is also a special bonus track of re-arranged songs, making this a project that fans of the original recordings can enjoy anew.
On the occasion of the 40th anniversary, the music of those days, still loved today, is born again!
